I learned this firsthand. Originally from Brazil, I moved from a warm, humid climate to freezing New York winters, eventually finding my home in the Sonoran Desert, where I have spent nearly two decades living in an intensely dry climate.

That journey fundamentally shifted my perspective on skin health. But it was living in the desert that made me pay close attention. The dryness made moisture loss impossible to ignore and taught me how much the environment around us can influence the way our skin feels and behaves.

Real skin does not live in isolation. It moves through different climates, daily routines, travel, and everything in between.

Seeing how much my own skin changed, and how much living in the desert taught me about moisture loss and the skin barrier, created a genuine desire to create skincare that supports a healthy, resilient skin barrier.
